This 1964 Buffalo Bills AFL Championship ring was awarded to head coach Louis Sabin. He led the Bills to two straight AFL championships in 1964 and 1965. The Bills finished the season 12-2 and would go on to win consecutive championships. Under Sabin the '64 Bills set an AFL defensive record by giving up a total 918 rushing yards while allowing 242 points. They also led the league in scoring with 400 points and 5,206 total yards. Ring is in remarkable condition, featuring a football with a player, 'Buffalo,' and '1964' with a .26-point diamond surrounded by 'Buffalo Bills AFL Champions.' Left shank has 'Sabin' with a Bills helmet below. Right shank has 'Buffalo 20 Bills San Diego 7 Chargers' with AFL logo below. Rings weight is 27.3 grams, size 13.5 with original Jostens 10K stamp inside the band. Ring comes with a letter of authenticity from Sabin.
