The Chiefs played in two Super Bowls and were AFL Champions in 1969. This ring was presented to Wells, who was a scout at the time. Wells wore the ring and sent it back to the factory to be repaired, but instead the company made a new ring from the original gold and diamonds, as is common practice when a ring is too worn. The top features a large 1-carat diamond surrounded by 10 smaller diamonds, all in a football fixed into a red stone. Around the perimeter reads "KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 1969 WORLD CHAMPIONS." One shank has his name "WELLS" in a football, Kansas City logo, with scout and score of the AFL title game Chiefs 17 Raiders 7 in a crown above the AFL logo and confidence below. The other side has the Super Bowl score, "CHIEFS 23 VIKINGS 7" and the Lombardi trophy with Poise. Ring has "JOSTENS 14K" engraved in the band. Ring weights 40 grams and is size 11.5. Rare early find from Super Bowl VI.
