The Toronto Argonauts were established in 1873 and 1997 would be their 108th season. In their history they have won more Grey Cup championships than any other team in the league, they have made 22 appearances in the finals winning an amazing 16 times. In their history, they have faced every western Canadian Football team at least one time. They have a remarkable winning percentage in championship games winning over 72% of the time. In the 1997 season, they would finish the regular season 15-3. In the Eastern Finals they would defeat the Montreal Alouettes 37-0 to advance to the 85th Grey Cup finals against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto would win the Grey Cup championship in 1996 and in 1997 they would try to repeat. What was hyped to be a great final turned out to be a run away with the Argonauts winning their 14th Grey Cup 47-23. One of the nicer Canadian Football League Championship rings has Argonauts logo in middle with Grey Cup 1997 Champions. Left side has Back 2 Back Argos 47 with Grey Cup Riders 23. Left side has Mackay with Argonauts logo, Manufactured by Inter-Gold 10K is a size 11.5 with diamonds and weighs 33.6 ounces.
