Rice would play his entire career with the Red Sox. He would form one of the game's great outfields playing with Fred Lynn and Dwight Evans. He would also keep the tradition of Red Sox power-hitting left fielders following Ted Williams and Yaz. In 1978, Rice would win the American League MVP and become the first player in 19 seasons to reach 400 total bases in a season. He batted .300 seven times, collected 100 runs batted eight times, 200 hits four times, and had eleven seasons with 20 home runs. When Rice hung up his cleats he would be an 8X All-Star, Al; MVP, 3X home run leader, 2X RBI leader and a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rare rookie jersey shows nice wear with Massachusetts Bi-Centennial patch on left sleeve. McAuliffe tagging with size 42 in the collar and 1975 wash instruction tags in the tail. Jersey shows wear with loose threads on numbers.
