BIDDER’S INFORMATION - ONLINE CATALOG AUCTION INFORMATION & RULES
(last updated July 12th, 2014)
Please note: As of July 12th, 2014 these rules are binding and supercede any other version of auction rules, printed or otherwise, for all Paragon Auctions.
To bid in Paragon Auctions Internet/Phone auction you must register to receive a username and password. Click on Register/Sign In link on home page at www.paragonauctionsite.com. You may use this username and password for all future internet/phone auctions. Should you prefer telephone bidding, please call (732) 261-9355 to obtaining bidding information. Once you have obtained your username and password, login each time you visit our site to browse, view, and bid. After you have completed the login procedure, the Register/Sign In button will switch to the My Account button, where you may view a status report of the items you are currently bidding on. The minimum bid is normally the reserve price, however there will be items with higher reserves that will show “reserve not met” once a bid is placed. All bids must be at least 10% above the current high bid showing. You may enter any bid amount you wish (rounded to the nearest dollar) as long it is at least 10% above the current high bid. Maximum/ceiling bids may be placed at any time and for any amount as long as it is at least 10% above the current bid. Some lots will have a hidden reserve, and will not sell until the lot has met the reserve. Lots with a reserve will display “reserve not met” on the auction website. The reserves are set no higher than the low end estimates. On, or about 6 PM EST the night of the auction close, we move all lots that have a reserve that has not been met to one bid below the reserve, so the next bid will meet the reserve.
A ceiling bid only has to be 10% above the current high bid showing in order to be accepted and executed. All ceiling bids are entered into the auction computer database and are confidential. They are bid in increments by the auction software with the intention of securing the item at the lowest possible price up to and not exceeding the ceiling amount. Bid in our auction with confidence and confidentiality. Our auction software does not permit us the ability to see your proxy/ceiling bids during live bidding. Auction closing. The auction remains open until 15 minutes have passed without a single bid being entered after 10 PM. Initial bidding ends JULY 12th, 2014 at 10 PM E.S.T., with bidding continuing for 15 minute intervals on an auction basis. You must bid on at least one item in the auction to continue bidding past 10 pm. ALL LOTS ARE OPEN FOR BIDDING as long as you have placed a bid on any individual lot by 10 pm July 12th, 2014, you are eligible to bid on ANY lot in the auction until close. Bidding is not expected to continue for more than an hour or so after the 10 PM phase as we have only 200 lots and a limited number of bidders.

All sales are final with lots sold to the highest bidder(s). GGMI Group, the foremost authority regarding the authenticity of historical soccer memorabilia, is also the consignor of the material featured in this auction. The inclusion of these items in the consignor’s collection says more about their view of them than any typical “letter of authenticity” produced for a fee could. However, because of the inherent conflict of interest in having an authenticator who is also a consignor, we will allow winning bidders sixty (60) days from the close of the auction to return any lots questioned by a qualified authenticator. To exercise this right to return a questioned lot, you must either use an authenticator we recommend or one approved by us via email prior to the close of the auction. After 60 days, all items are sold with no returns. Every item will come with a LOA from either GMMI Group, player, family member or authenticator. Please view letters on our site. Catalogs will be mailed the week of June 13th, 2014 with a closing date of July 12, 2014.
